6. Goldust Does Dr. Seuss (In Your House: D-Generation X)

The original Goldust character was undoubtedly strange, but it was at least interesting and shocking for all the right reasons. By late 1997 though, Dustin Rhodes was ripping off Prince by becoming 'The Artist Formerly Known As' Goldust, dressing up in increasingly bizarre outfits (including bondage gear) and just wasting screen time.

Honestly, this was horrible.

At December '97's D-Generation X pay-per-view, Goldie and Luna Vachon interrupted the action to come out and read some poetry from the desk of one Dr. Seuss. Specifically, they wanted to read 'Green Eggs & Ham' in the most irritating voice ever. The promo was a bad time for all involved, and it muted the Massachusetts crowd.

They sat on their hands as Goldust, who was decked out in pink, ran through a children's book on live pay-per-view. If this has occurred in 2020, it'd be deemed 'bad content' by fans online. It didn't though - it took place in 1997 and cost wads of cash to watch.
