It would be unfair to rule out a perfectly good heat magnet just because of current circumstances. It's logistics alone that stops 'The Bastard' PAC from making regular contributions to AEW. Before all of that, the guy was horribly good at his job.
Talking with all the meanness a good heel should, and distributing whopping doses of sh*t to the crowd, he also did loyal service in AEW by putting a good guy or two over, Orange Cassidy especially, but only because they were forced to work extra hard to overcome his monstrous persona and wrestling capabilities.
With a gimmick that entailed not a lot more than insulting other people, his look, his talk, and his barbaric swagger showed no care for what people thought. The more fans favoured a babyface, the more he'd make a point of getting inside the head of that particular opponent, and audience member alike. An evil Drew McIntyre may not be a bad comparison.
Let's hope to see a return from PAC someday soon. The world of wrestling villainy is ever so slightly duller without him.
