In 1995, Goldust took the wrestling world by storm when he unleashed on an unsuspecting WWE the most controversial persona in the long and illustrious history of Vince McMahon's company.

He straddled and, in some cases, even humped the fine line that existed between the bizarre and the vulgar. While he made an undeniable mark on his own, it was the arrival of Marlena, portrayed by Dustin Runnels' real-life wife Terri, that turned the narrative of the film-obsessed character on its head.

Marlena introduced another element to the Goldust character and proved that, perhaps, all of the homosexual overtones really were just mind games played with the macho Superstars on WWE.

Together, the pair made for one of the most enigmatic acts ever, not to mention a successful one. Marlena led Goldust to the Intercontinental Championship in her first appearance, then helped him hold onto it for six months.

But Goldust was hardly the only Superstar to benefit from Terri Runnels' expertise as a valet. Val Venis found success as her love interest and Shawn Stasiak was as relevant as he would ever be as the love slave of Runnels.

Whether she was property of Brian Pillman or orchestrating the Terri Invitational Tournament, she was one of the best (and hottest) valets in wrestling history.
