10 Most Embarrassing Falls From Grace In WWE
9. Marc Mero
Bart Gunn wasn't the only Brawl for All contender who would find himself being humiliated in the WWE.
A talented wrestler and the first ever star to be offered a guaranteed contract by Vince McMahon, Marc Mero was under pressure from day one in the company to deliver. Unfortunately, things soon fell off the rails. His reign as Intercontinental Champion was cut short by a certain Hunter Hearst Helmsley (HHH cutting the legs off a fellow performer? Surely he would never do such a thing again...) and he would later feud with his then-wife Sable, which resulted in the powerbomb seen above. This ended both the feud and WWE's interest in the Mero experiment.
Mero would flounder in the company for the remainder of his time there before quitting the promotion after a losing effort against Duane Gill, a.k.a Gillberg. From being the WWE's first ever big money performer to being retired by a parody character, Marc Mero's WWE career can only be viewed as an embarassing waste of his talents.
