10 Most Embarrassing Falls From Grace In WWE
8. King Kong Bundy
At Wrestlemania 2, King Kong Bundy faced Hulk Hogan in a steel cage for the top prize in the company.
At Wrestlemania 3, King Kong Bundy got chased out of the ring by a comedy hillbilly and a group of dwarves.
In the words of Ant-Man, "What the hell happened here?"
Simply put, 'Mania 2 flopped. It drew far fewer buys than the first Wrestlemania and that, plus McMahon's decision to run the event across three separate venues, presumably cost the company a lot of money. Given Hogan's bulletproof status in the WWE that meant blame was shifted squarely at the feet of his opponent. Bundy would fall further and further down the card for the next year, until the above match killed off his remaining credibility.
Although he was never the most talented worker in the ring, King Kong Bundy still had value as a monster heel. It was sad to see him being punished for the failure of a PPV that was doomed as much by Vince McMahon's poor business judgement as it was by Bundy's perceived failure as a draw.
