10 Most Embarrassing Falls From Grace In WWE
3. Jinder Mahal
Oh Jinder, why weren't you hindered?
Pushed way, way beyond any realistic assessment of his capabilities, Jinder Mahal went straight from perennial jobber to WWE champion back in May 2017. Aside from being able to fill out a suit nicely and pander to WWE's Indian fanbase, Jinder was woefully underqualified to carry the top strap in the company. Incapable of having even a three star match and only able to generate heat by hitting the lowest possible bar, Jinder's reign came to a merciful end when he lost the belt to AJ Styles in November after six turgid months.
After that, his descent was as head-spinningly fast as his rise had been. He jobbed to Triple H in India, had a cup of coffee reign with the US title, and was last seen getting pinned in his sleep by R-Truth for the 24/7 title.
Honestly, it's hard not to feel a little bad for the guy. He will be a staple in "top 10 worst WWE champions" lists for decades to come, but Vince McMahon should never have given the belt to somone so blatantly unable to do it justice. Given how quickly the WWE swept Mahal under the rug, it's safe to say they feel the same way.
