6. The Pizza Hut Battle Royal

That wasn't the only product placement on the show though.

Uh uh. Pizza Hut also sponsored a match that was co-branded as a tribute to The Rock's 25th anniversary as a WWE star. This 25-man battle royal couldn't get started until The Street Profits had carried some pizzas to the ring, or Michael Cole had read some advertising fluff from a sheet of paper likely handed to him 30 seconds before.

The Rock's story wasn't the focus of the bout. Pizzas very much were; R-Truth powdered to go grab a slice, then Otis gobbled one in-ring. Later, Sami Zayn hurled pizza into the live crowd and got booed for it. Poor Sami must've been outraged when Montez Ford did the same thing later and got cheered.

This was all just so strange to witness. Exactly zero of the entrants had any links to Rocky (although Shanky definitely practiced his eyebrow technique in the mirror as a teen), and the Pizza Hut promotion was tacked on for the sake of it then spoiled the match.
