10 Most Embarrassing Wrestling Botches Of 2021 (So Far)
8. WWE Dynamite
Jim Ross
AEW Dynamite #92

Slips of the tongue can be just as embarrassing and inadvertently iconic as their physical counterparts, with classics such as “SummerFest”, “Jeff Harvey”, and “the right gay guy” becoming ingrained in the pro-wrestling culture. Jim Ross’ recent flub, while not as funny, caused a serious reaction.
During the closing monologue of the episode, JR referred to the show as “WWE Dynamite.” In terms of botches, this is an understandable commentary fumble, with Ross working for WWE sporadically between 1993 and 2019. JR promptly took to twitter to address the situation:
“Yep I apparently made an untimely error tonight at shows end. No excuses. And I’m not quitting.”
Yet the constant comparison between both companies, the relentless debate about AEW signing ex-WWE talent, and fans determined to see the error as a Freudian slip, caused the brief botch to gain considerable online traction. Ross elaborated on the backlash during his Grilling JR podcast, revealing that some wrestling fans on social media had gone as far as wish him dead for the error.
Arguably the reaction of some supposed fans was significantly more embarrassing than Ross’ lapse, leaving them deserving of this spot.
