There may never be another retirement bash more extravagant than that staged for 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair. Only when The Undertaker hangs up his boots will Vince McMahon agree to make such a fuss again, because WWE are still sore over Flair's return to the ring after their ceremony. At WrestleMania XXIV, Flair lost to Shawn Michaels. That was an emotional moment, but it was topped the next night. By his own admission, Ric Flair is an emotional guy. He couldn't stop his eyes from shedding tears as he stood in the middle of the ring on Monday Night Raw. Soaking up the adulation and chants of, 'thank you, Ric' from fans, the legend looked genuinely touched. He was then legitimately surprised by appearances by the likes of Undertaker and Vince McMahon, who hugged him and shared words. The entire program was dedicated to the man's history-making career, and deservedly so. It truly felt like the end of an era when Flair said without hesitation that he would never be seen in the ring again. Later, he would be proved false, wrestling multiple times for TNA and on a special Hulkamania Tour. That said, everybody wanted to believe he was telling the truth in March, 2008. What other emotional moments would you rank amongst the best in wrestling history? What are your memories of the ones listed here? Let us know what you think down in the comments section below!
