10 Most Entertaining WCW Cruiserweights Of All Time

2 (tie). Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho cut his teeth as an entertainer and likely learned many of the traits that set him apart as a top grappler as a cruiserweight in World Championship Wrestling. A four-time Cruiserweight Champion, Jericho's certainly not this high on the list for winning the title on a plethora of occasions. Rather, it's in vowing to "never eeeeever" beat up ring announcer Dave Penzer "agayyyne," currying favor with the crowd by resting his back up against the guardrail, wearing his hair in a number of absurd fashions, declaring that Monday Nitro was "Monday Jericho" and an epic run of winning "Quasijuice's mask, Prince Nakamaki's shawl and Disco Inferno's headband" that he truly reached the level of being a must-see entertainer in WCW. As well, while a cruiserweight competitor he engaged in a previously mentioned feud with Dean Malenko in which he became the "Master of 1,004 Holds," while also cutting promos that crossed the line from the absurd into the realm of the ridiculous on numerous occasions. As well, Jericho's ability to entertain moved up and down the card, as from gaining merchandise employee Ralphus, bottom of the card cruiserweight Lenny Lane and even main eventer Goldberg more renown, he proved to be an invaluably entertaining WCW wrestler until his 1999 departure from the company. Of course, as a heavyweight competitor in WWE, well, the rest is literally history.
