These guys may have each already debuted in the company once, but never before had we seen the black and white faction that is the nWo grace a WWE ring. The nWo's arrival had plenty of hype; Vince McMahon aired a set of eerie promos in the weeks that led up to 2002s No Way Out PPV. Once the event finally arrived, everbody knew that the nWo would be therethough their intentions were somewhat less clear. The trio kicked off the show with an in-ring segment in which they promised not to cause any trouble. Naturally, they showed up once more at the end of the night to beat down Steve Austin and deliver one of the worst Stone Cold Stunners in WWE history, enabling Chris Jericho to pick up the win and retain his WWE Championship. While it certainly wasnt as impactful as the nWo's original debut on WCW back in 1996, it was still a significant development within the wrestling world. Fans were finally gifted the chance to see arguably the two most dominant forces of the Monday Night Wars going toe-to-toe in a WWE ring. The seemingly impossible had become a reality.
