If youre going to debut at a PPV, Survivor Series seems to be the place to do it. Back in 1990s instalment of the Thanksgiving tradition, we witnessed the debut of a man who would remain at the top of the business for the better part of the next quarter of the century; none other than the Undertaker. Much like the aforementioned Rocky Maivia, he wasted no time in making an impact. Less than two minutes into his debut, the Deadman eliminated Koko B. Ware after showcasing the first of many Tombstone Piledrivers, before going on to claim the scalp of the American Dream Dusty Rhodes. Unlike Rocky though, the Undertaker actually managed to make his persona stick. On paper, an undead wrestler posing as a graveyard worker, somehow impervious to pain and with supernatural powers, doesnt sound like a gimmick that would stand the test of time. And yet Taker managed to pull it off. He commanded respect as he strode to the ring, and his imposing presence only fortified that notion. Add to that some quality in-ring skills for a man of his size, and you just knew that this was a force to be reckoned with.
