Lars Sullivan’s main roster debut didn’t get off to a promising start. After making his debut on Raw attacking Kurt Angle the night after he retired at WrestleMania 35, Sullivan was pushed as a force to be reckoned with. Not long after this though Sullivan’s past caught up with him online which made headlines in wrestling and media outlets.

Sullivan years prior to signing with WWE had made a series of misogynistic, racist and homophobic comments on message boards online. The comments drew the concerned attention of Big E. and other wrestlers, as well as major WWE sponsor Mars Wrigley, who stated they were shocked and disgusted with Sullivan’s remarks.

Sullivan quickly issued a public apology for his past actions and WWE released their own statement confirming ‘Dylan Miley (aka Lars Sullivan) will be fined $100,000 and required to complete sensitivity training for offensive commentary uncovered from his past.’ It was a massive fine for a talent who had just come up from NXT.

After being released in early 2021, Sullivan spoke of how he took responsibility for all his actions and the repercussions that came from it, like the $100k fine, and considered himself his own worst enemy.
