10 Most Expensive Fines WWE Ever Gave Wrestlers For Breaking The Rules

4. John Cena Pays The $88,000 Fine For SmackDown Wrestlers Goofing Around

This amazing story only became recently known through Aiden English on social media. Aiden recounted the time he tagged with Rusev and Baron Corbin to take on AJ Styles and The Usos in a six-man dark match after SmackDown in March 2018 that landed them all hefty fines.

Fan footage exists of the match online, where you can see The Usos delivering a superkick party over and over again to their opponents. With the crowd popping huge, the wrestlers convinced the referee to get in on the action, with the referee landing his own superkick on Aiden, followed by AJ taking the referee’s shirt and making the 1-2-3 pin to send the fans home happy.

But as soon as they made their way backstage all of them were chewed out by the producers for supposedly embarrassing the business, and were threatened with fines in the thousands and even being fired.

English tweeted that 16 time World Champion John Cena was the one who apparently saved the day and picked up the fine, which altogether for the wrestlers and referee came to the costly total of $88,000.
