10 Most Expensive Wrestling Moves Ever

9. Edge's SummerSlam Entrance

There's the obvious caveat here that a wrestling entrance is not the same as a wrestling move, but still, Edge's entrance at WWE SummerSlam 2021 cost poor Gangrel a solid payday.

In one of the most badass entrances in recent memory, the Rated-R Superstar made his way to the ring to face Seth Rollins by taking things back to his Brood days. The Canadian utilised the Brood's old theme tune, came up to the stage through a firepit, and had all of the swag and sway that the Brood's beats used to illicit back in the day.

This was great, this was a phenomenal call-back, and it was a moment that produced a warm, fuzzy feeling for those of us who used to watch Edge, Christian and Gangrel during their time together. Unfortunately for Gangrel himself, though, Edge's SummerSlam entrance caused the Vampire Warrior to miss out on some work for AEW.

As detailed on his Fangin N Bangin podcast, Gangrel had been booked to appear and do a spin on the Brood entrance for the 25 August episode of Dynamite - presumably tying into something with Christian Cage. After Edge's stunning SummerSlam outing four days before Dynamite, Gangrel received a call from Tony Khan to let him know plans had changed.

To his credit, the fanged grappler has been nothing but complimentary about Khan and AEW, whilst also not putting any blame at Edge's door for this unfortunate situation.
