10 Most Explosive Wrestlers Of All Time

1. Kenny Omega

AEW PAC
Lee South/AEW

Kenny Omega has failed to book and otherwise project himself as a superstar in All Elite Wrestling.

He is essentially the reason the company exists; his phenomenal performance level, particularly throughout 2017, alerted disenchanted wrestling fans to New Japan Pro Wrestling. His rare, special Ring Of Honor cameos ignited the box office to record-setting extents. He is or was the preeminent drawing card outside of WWE because he represents the pinnacle of critical acclaim, packaged in à la mode, '80s-indebted aesthetic.

And yet, in just one sequence in a fantastic TV match, he reminded the wrestling fandom of his formidable, game-changing power. Against Joey Janela, with the Bad Boy left vulnerable by the ropes, Omega used his next-level propulsion and velocity to rock his opponent with a V-Trigger so ghastly, and powered with such force, that Janela was left in a state of sprawling, insta-rigor mortis. Omega charged from one side of the ring to the other in milliseconds in a feat of supernatural athleticism.

Omega hasn't yet unleashed this paradigm-shattering ring work on the big pay-per-view stage in victory, which to some is an indictment of AEW's first year of existence. And, as much as that version of the Cleaner can't exist in the same sphere as Le Champion Chris Jericho without arriving at a match far too early, they have a point: he is too special to feel this normal.
