10 Most Fake Wrestling Props Ever

1. Papa Buck's Ketchup Blood

Chris Jericho CM Punk
AEW

Great, underrated angle. Abysmal prop.

Look at MJF's little face, man. This was a cracking scene that underscores just how fabulous the Young Bucks' run as AEW World Tag Team Champions was. They were as fantastic in the babyface role and as obnoxious, super-minted heels.

As a face, Matt Jackson cut the promo of his life vowing revenge on MJF and Chris Jericho ahead of Revolution for attacking his father in a backstage scheme. MJF and Jericho had kidnapped 'Papa Buck', the man whose DIY ring assembly skills indirectly made AEW possible, and purportedly beat the sh*t out of him backstage. The attack wasn't filmed, likely because Papa Buck wasn't attacked but rather smeared in ketchup.

Once again, the fault here lies with whichever knacker is tasked with sourcing AEW's props, because this was something straight out of an intentionally awful parody of a student horror film. The patriarch willingly offered to gig himself, but his request was turned down, given that he isn't a worker.

Mercifully, the sheer d*ckhead exuberance that MJF and Jericho got out of their unconscionable cruelty - and the instant pivot to cowardice - got the angle over as delirious wrestling entertainment.
