10 Most Fake Wrestling Weapons Ever

5. Mist

Used by a variety of wrestlers including The Great Muta, Tajiri, and Asuka, the mist was first used by Japanese wrestler The Great Kabuki in the 1980s.

Devised by manager Gary Hart, the mist became Kabuki's signature attack, as he used it to blind his opponents both in and out matches. His green version of the spray is the most common one still used today, although other colourful variations do exist.

It's kinda like Kryptonite, with each colour doing a different thing. Also, much like Kryptonite, it is entirely fictional.

The story goes that Hart's wife was baking cookies one day when she spilt a bottle of green food colouring. This gave her husband, who had been looking for a new mystical edge for Kabuki's character, an idea.

He added some mouthwash and then mixed his concoction in a condom. Not sure why it had to be that, but you do you, Gary. After some practice, the gimmick was ready to be used for real.

So yeah, the mist doesn't actually do anything. Of course it doesn't - do you know how dangerous that would be?

Nevertheless, it remains one of the best visuals in wrestling.
