Where were you when Daniel Bryan got his head kicked off by Sheamus, losing his World Heavyweight Championship in just 18 seconds? Of all the matches on this list, none produced as much immediate outrage as the destruction of the American Dragon at the beginning of WrestleMania XXVIII.

It was supposed to be his crowning night, the moment that the best wrestler in the world finally got to show his skills on the biggest stage of them all with an opponent who was his antithesis. It was highly anticipated, but as AJ Lee leapt off the apron moments after kissing her charge only to see him turn directly into a Brogue Kick that anticipation was replaced by anger.

It was supposed to be an example of the 'anything can happen' nature of WWE, but it ended up being the launching pad for the fast-growing YES! movement. Two years later, Bryan would get his redemption.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
