5. Shane McMahon Not Going Through The Glass

Shane McMahon is a masochist. He has willingly subjected himself to excruciating acts of physical pain throughout his career and often resembles an upper class member of the Jackass crew more than he does the boss' son. He's fallen 50 feet, jumped off the Hell in a Cell twice and taken some of the most convincing beatings in WWE history. But he's never went through something more punishing than his street fight with Kurt Angle at King of the Ring 2001.

In the middle of a genuinely brilliant match with the Olympian, Shane was supposed to take several suplexes through panes of easily breakable glass. Instead of it shattering easily upon impact, his head collided directly with the glass, immediately concussing him and creating one of the most sickening sights in WWE history as his head slid down after impact. However, Shane refused to abandon the spot after the initial botch, taking several more bumps directly on his head before both panes exploded into shards.

It was a spot so infamous that Vince McMahon almost stopped the match completely, unable to witness the possibility of his son taking any further damage. It is still horrifying to watch almost 20 years later.
