6. Capt. Lou Albano Turns On Jimmy Snuka

On the most memorable episode of Rogers’ Corner, host Buddy Rogers invited Jimmy Snuka and his manager Capt. Lou Albano for a revelation. Rogers discovered that Albano never signed Snuka to a contract – his allegiance was a fraud. But he did embezzle all of Snuka’s money, leaving The Superfly penniless.

As Rogers showed Snuka the light, the Captain nervously scratched his head and tugged on his beard before slowly getting in Rogers’ face, accusing him of lying. Snuka believed Rogers and asked him to be his new manager.

As a result, Albano shoved Snuka, who responded with a right hand of his own. This led to “Classy” Freddie Blassie and Ray Stevens getting involved, as the war between Albano and Snuka carried throughout the rest of 1982.
