2. Paul Heyman Turns On CM Punk
Best
friends and better business partners, CM Punk and Paul Heyman were the perfect
match in pro wrestling. Heyman championed Punk in developmental, recognizing
his potential and fostering his passion. Punk sought wisdom and nurturing from
Heyman, the only father figure the social outcast has ever had. When Punk
brought Heyman in as his advocate during his legendary WWE Championship reign,
they devised every scheme imaginable to keep the title.
Unfortunately,
Punk lost the title to The Rock, and then failed to end Undertaker’s Streak. He
then took a sabbatical and upon returning, ceased professional ties with
Heyman, hoping to maintain their personal friendship. Naturally, Heyman saw
that as a slap in the face, and decided to sever the personal ties as well.
As Punk was about to retrieve the briefcase at Money in the Bank 2013, Heyman slammed a ladder into his friend’s back. Then he stared him in the eyes, and slammed the ladder into Punk’s skull.
