10 Most Heated Rivalries In UFC History

2. Daniel Cormier Vs. Jon Jones

Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones have one of the most unique rivalries in the history of UFC.

Whenever the pair have met in the Octagon, Jones has won their fights. The only problem is, Cormier will always have the moral high ground against his long-time rival due to those fights being marred in controversy.

After his first win over Cormier at UFC 182, Johnny Bones was found to have failed a drug test for cocaine use and then was soon suspended for a hit-and-run incident. Following plentiful other controversies for Jones, the two would finally face off again at UFC 214 two-and-a-half years later.

That contest would again see Jones the victor, but would again be thrown into controversy when the contest was ruled a No Contest after Jon Jones again failed a drug test.

All of the controversies that have surrounded Jones during this period have only given further fuel for the charismatic DC to talk trash about his rival.

With Jones currently the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion again after having returned from a third suspension, many fans were hoping that we may get a third fight between these two bitter enemies. Following Cormier losing the UFC Heavyweight Championship back to Stipe Miocic at UFC 241, though, DC has suggested that he may now retire from the sport.
