10 Most Humiliating Wrestling Moves

9. Matt Jackson's "Botched" Buckshot Lariat

CM Punk, when performing commentary duties for Fury MMA in the wake of 'Brawl Out', bragged that his "hand hurts".

He referenced the fight before the infamous second match in the Elite Vs. Death Triangle Best of Seven series. There is no "Chad" figure in this rivalry. They're all passive aggressive children, ultimately - but childish behaviour can be very funny indeed. Case in point: Matt Jackson bantering Punk off the face of the planet in Chicago.

At Double Or Nothing this year, Punk - who despite demonstrably lacking the ability to execute the Buckshot Lariat, as shown in a match against John Silver - attempted to "get in the head" of Hangman Page. He did so by falling flat on his arse, for the second and third times, at the PPV. It was excruciating in and of itself; even more so when you consider that this was Punk's attempt to prove that he, not Page, was the man to take AEW forward.

"I'm better than you. Let me prove that by doing your finish in the style of Fred Ottman."

This was empty-headed f*cking dumb f*ck storytelling, so it's just as well Punk is otherwise brilliant at pacing a big-time match. The main event was nearly ruined outright.

In Chicago, Matt parodied this wild hubris in a daft picture-in-picture spot, and it was fantastic; while they are both superb wrestlers at their own respective styles, Matt knew exactly what Punk is rubbish at and smushed his face in sh*t.

Of course, Matt Jackson built his reputation on this incredible brand of sh*thousery. As an expert in the field, he warrants another entry on this list...
