Former WWE man reckons Triple H "can’t call all of the shots" creatively so doesn't deserve blame.

Former WWE man Karrion/Killer Kross appeared to defend his old boss Triple H during an interview for The Ariel Helwani Show recently. Kross implied that Hunter doesn't completely control absolutely everything fans see across major programming like Raw and SmackDown.

Explaining, Kross said he's used "pattern recognition" to spot when an idea belongs to 'The Game' and when it's the result of "new players" having their say creatively. That's something the ex-WWE star believes he can see clearly despite leaving the company in August 2025.

Since departing, he's still kept an eye on what's happening, and Kross doesn't think it's fair that Trips get the bulk of the blame when things go awry: "To me, this looks like a situation where he can’t call all of the shots; and I don’t mean that disrespectfully at all", he told Helwani.

Earlier, Karrion/Killer had said that "a failure of continuity" can lead to audience backlash, but not all of that rests on Triple H's shoulders. Of course, TKO execs took the flak for randomly inserting Pat McAfee into the WWE Title picture as Randy Orton's guiding light before he clashed with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42.

That plot line was totally dropped after 'Mania.

Perhaps there's truth to what Kross is saying here. Yes, Hunter is technically the head of WWE's creative affairs, but TKO holds a lot of sway and there are loads of different voices giving their thoughts behind the scenes. It's easy as fans to boil that down to, 'Oh, Papa H is responsible for everything', but that's not strictly true.
