Hold on. Hold on. Don't click out of this article yet! I’m not saying this was a GOOD pick, but it was actually a very impactful one with the way it played out. In 2007, The Great Khali was chosen to go over to SmackDown. Lucky for him, Edge had to vacate the Heavyweight Title a few weeks later. The gold was then put up for grabs in a 20-man battle royal, which Khali won by eliminating Batista and Kane at the same time.

It was the era of Khali! Well, no. Not really. But had the Punjami Playboy not jumped ship when he did, then we wouldn’t ever have got to talk about a Great Khali World Title reign. And where as a society would we be if we didn’t have that?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
