10 Most Important Divas In The Monday Night Wars

1. Chyna

The Ninth Wonder of the World was something entirely different to the other Divas that had helped the WWE gain popularity. With a chiselled body and a physical demeanour that would see her happily stand toe to toe with practically any man on the roster, Chyna set her own course for what a Diva was capable of during the era and broke new boundaries for female wrestlers in the process. Making her debut in the company alongside then partner Triple H, she acted as the bodyguard and enforcer for Degeneration X and would regularly involve herself in matches in a way that few other female performers had done before her. She eventually became the first female wrestler to ever enter the Royal Rumble and to this day she is the only female wrestler to hold the Intercontinental Championship. Towards the end of the Monday Night Wars Chyna would transition into wrestling women and would also undergo a variety of surgeries that would enhance her feminine side. This resulted in more mainstream attention as she posed in an extremely popular issue of Playboy in November 2000. Similarly to Sunny, she would eventually depart the company and end up choosing a career path that is a little too racy for a younger audience. Though she has still yet to mend her broken fences with the WWE, Chyna was the most important Diva in an era where the women in wrestling made a real name for themselves and is a definite candidate for the WWE Hall of Fame should she reconcile with the company.
