10 Most Important Divas In The Monday Night Wars

10. Luna Vachon

Luna came from a rich heritage of brutal wrestlers that included the likes of Mad Dog Vachon and Butcher Vachon and she more than lived up to that persona upon her debut in the WWE. Allying herself with Bam Bam Bigelow, Luna demonstrated an unhinged personality and crazed in-ring style that soon made her popular amongst fans. After brief forays into ECW and WCW, Vachon would re-emerge in the WWE during the height of the Monday Night War, allying herself with The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust and demonstrating a risqué side to her performances that had been lacking in her previous stint with the company. However it was during her feud with Sable that Vachon really made an impact, doing everything she could to establish Sable as an in-ring threat despite reportedly being unhappy with her attitude backstage. The pair had a number of high profile matches that played a huge part in legitimising Sable. Luna would eventually become something of a bit-part player, engaging in a feud with Jacqueline before going on to manage Gangrel. She eventually left the WWE amidst apparent dissatisfaction at the continued sexualisation of the women in the company, but she left an enormous mark during the Monday Night Wars and without her it could be argued that one of the most successful women of the era wouldn€™t hit the heights she attained.
