10 Most Important WWE Stars In Raw History

6. Vince McMahon

It's hard to properly rank the owner of the company, but how can you not include him here? Ever since he stopped announcing in late 1997 in order to become a regular character he's been a fixture on Raw up until a few years ago. Keep that in mind too. This is about the character. Obviously if you're talking about Vince he's the most important person because it's his company. When WWE surged past WCW in the Monday night war it was McMahon that was firmly entrenched as the top heel in the company even though he wasn't an active wrestler. The "evil boss" storyline was done first by Eric Bischoff in WCW, but McMahon did it better and reached new heights as the archrival of the great Steve Austin. There are so many great McMahon moments on Raw. What's amazing about Vince is that as much as he was made to look like this jerk that made people kiss his ass and that fired people, he also was humiliated so many times. That's what made him so valuable as a performer. He was an a**hole and the fans told him that, but he was so smart about putting over his talent too. An argument could be made that he should be a top five performer on this list, but due to the lack of matches it would feel wrong to put him above some of the others. You can't deny his importance as a performer, though. There's nobody else like him.
