10 Most Improved Wrestlers Of The Past Decade

1. The Miz

It's been an unlikely road to greatness for The Miz. Before he ever set foot in a wrestling ring, he was a loudmouth from 'The Real World' who was more than happy to let anybody around him know that he would be a superstar wrestler someday. That bit of TV exposure got him signed up as part of the fourth season of Tough Enough, and while he didn't win, he was still hired by the company.

The next five years were a whirlwind - Miz went from being the butt of jokes to the hottest up-and-comer in the company to the defending WWE Champ at WrestleMania XXVII. While he was overshadowed by the feud between The Rock and John Cena, there was no question that he had earned his spot.

The next few years were tough. Hurt by his poorly booked title run, The Miz slowly sunk down the card - and a face turn didn't do him any favors. He played second fiddle to his stunt double, acted in a bunch of lame made-for-TV movies, and all but disappeared.

Then last year, he flipped the switch again. As the Intercontinental Champion, Miz brought meaning back to both his career and the title, defending it against all comers in great matches, whilst antagonizing Daniel Bryan with the best promos of his career. Miz is now slated for a high-profile WrestleMania match with John Cena, and hopefully there's more gold to come after that.
