10 Most Infamous Matches In Wrestling History

7. Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage Vs. The Alliance To End Hulkamania - WCW Uncensored 1996

Chamber Of Horrors
WWE Network

At Uncensored 1996, WCW conceived of a solution to get the Hulk Hogan babyface character over to the industry-defining extent he was in the WWF.

You could call it the Final Solution, if it weren't for the unfortunate association with mass Jewish genocide. WCW actually did; the character played by the grotesquely muscled Robert Swenson - one of eight heels positioned to end Hulkamania once and for all - was named just that before some WCW staffer recalled the most familiar chapter in modern western history.

The match - a triple decker cage abomination, an anti-exercise in wrestling psychology - was a so-bad-it's-genius highlight reel of unadulterated sh*t. Hogan and Savage were positioned as both impossibly hard babyfaces, shrugging off a slew of heel monsters, and dastardly heels. Hogan tried to casually kill Kevin Sullivan by throwing him off the scaffold supporting the convoluted structure.

Before he made it that far, he blanked G.O.A.T candidates Ric Flair and Arn Anderson (dressed, naturally, as a ninja) in a scene more befitting Streets of Rage than a pro wrestling match. The Ultimate Solution and fellow non-wrestling monstrosity Z-Gangsta (Zeus) were portrayed as the greatest threat to the intrepid heroes, who almost defeated them with the power of their grunts and posing.

In the end, Lex Luger inadvertently turned the tide by accidentally punching Ric Flair (after stalling and then going through with it, anyway) before, underscoring the farce beautifully, Hogan and Savage battered the heels with frying pans.

And people moan that Roman Reigns is booked to look too strong.
