3. The New Day

History-makers for the modern age, The New Day are likely to be revered in the future despite the divisiveness of their current roles.

Carrying a depleted tag team division on their shoulders for a record-breaking 483 days, the union of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods should be commended for the manner in which they tweaked a dated concept and flagging idea into one of the hottest acts in the entire industry.

Launched as grinning babyfaces in late-2014, the group played up their annoyances to such an extent that it now appears with hindsight that they knew a heel turn was always the destination for the gimmick.

Appearing out-of-date before the actual turn, the 'Power of Positivity' drew disdain from crowds, most notably during the WrestleMania 31 pre-show and following night on Raw, where 'New Day Sucks' became one of the signature chants of the weekend.

Turning hate into great, New Day embraced the distaste with such vigour that they quickly became popular again. With no faces left to beat, the trio took to embarrassing heels and flogging 'Booty-O' t-shirts by the truckload.

Though devoid of purpose since losing the titles, their role as WrestleMania 33 'hosts' proves the company still has the upmost faith in them to deliver at the very highest level.
