10 Most Influential British Wrestlers Ever (According To An American)

7. Doug Williams

British Bulldog

They don't call him 'The Ambassador of British Wrestling' for nothing.

A technician, a brawler, and an influential man behind the scenes of several promotions, Doug Williams brings legitimacy wherever he goes.

Most Americans know him from his time in TNA as part of The British Invasion, but Williams also appeared in Ohio Valley Wrestling to help train new talent and compete in the ring, ending up a former OVW Heavyweight champion during his short run with the company.

One of the names synonymous with British wrestling in the 2000s, Williams's fingerprints are all over the current wrestling scene in the UK -- just ask the folks at WCPW -- and his legacy continues to grow.
