6. Jimmy Snuka vs. Don Muraco (Madison Square Garden, October 17, 1983)
Jimmy Snuka was one of the most exciting competitors in the WWE during the 1980s. At the time, most of the competition took place either from a standing position or on the mat. Snuka changed that by utilizing a high-flying style that was unorthodox and entertaining. His most famous match was his steel cage match against Don Muraco at Madison Square Garden in October of 1993. Most do not remember that Snuka actually lost the match, but that is of little importance compared to what took place after the contest. Snuka dragged Muraco back into the ring following the loss and ascended to the top of the 15-foot high cage. We all know what happened from there, as Snuka dove from the top of the cage to decimate Muraco. A number of future WWE superstars were in attendance that night, including Mick Foley and Bubba Ray Dudley. Snuka inspired not only those in attendance, but also those who saw footage of the incident at home. Superflys leap from the top of the cage would influence future generations, inspiring a group of high flyers that included Jeff Hardy, Eddie Guerrero, and Rey Mysterio.
