Batista has had a laundry list of injuries to contend with throughout his career, most of them muscle tears. His first was in the notorious Dudley Boys versus Orton/Batista house show match which also left Orton with a broken back and Bubba with a bad back. Batista came out of that one badly, tearing his triceps muscle. Then, while training for his comeback, he re-injured his triceps, pinning him to the sidelines for another few months. All told, Batista missed the best part of 2003 while going through all of this. The Animal tore a muscle in his back in November 2005, but soldiered on for the good of the company, after Eddie Guerrero died and Smackdown was left with insufficient star power. For the next couple of months, Batista's involvement was mainly limited to tag matches were his partner Rey Mysterio would do most of the work. Rey Rey couldn't help Batista at a house show in January 2006, however, when Mark Henry clumsily crashed into Big Dave resulting in another triceps tear. In the years after that, Batista suffered further injuries to his hamstring and biceps. He struggled to get into peak fitness during his last run in WWE and there are concerns that his history of injuries may prevent him from returning to the ring in the future. Oh well, he always has Hollywood to fall back on, I suppose...
