Somehow, Stephanie McMahon’s alleged affair with Macho Man Randy Savage isn’t the most abominable McMahon sex conspiracy doing the rounds.

We’ll get to the other one later, but this particular theory is based on the shockingly long time it took before Savage was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. A two-time WWE Champion, Savage is one of the most notable figures in the sport’s history, and his place in wrestling folklore is undeniable. He looked a surefire HOF inductee, particularly after passing away in 2011, yet it took until 2015 for WWE to finally induct him.

The theory states that Savage was deliberately kept out of the HOF because of Vince McMahon’s intense personal dislike of him. It all stems from the idea that the 41-year-old Savage had an affair with Stephanie when she was just 17 years old, and that Vince was so mad he decided to never do business with Savage again.

Randy’s 2015 induction dealt a huge blow to this theory, and it’s far more likely that Vince harboured resentment towards Savage for leaving the company for WCW. With that said, plenty of other Hall of Famers jumped ship at the time: what makes Macho Man so different?
