10 Most Memorable WWE Funeral Parlor Segments

1. The Ultimate Warrior (13 April 1991)

Ask any Undertaker fan of a certain age. When they hear the phrase 'Funeral Parlor', THIS is the segment they remember.

Odds were good if you grew up a Hulkamaniac, you were probably also a fan of the Ultimate Warrior. Your writer was a petrified four-year-old watching The Deadman jump Warrior from behind, dump him in an 'airtight' casket and seal the lid. Then, the unthinkable: Paul Bearer pockets the crank and leads The Undertaker away, leaving the Warrior to slowly run out of oxygen.

Now imagine the youngsters' collective horror as a cavalcade of comically inept officials and road agents struggle to break open the casket with crowbars, chisels and power drills. 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper is losing his mind on commentary as minutes pass like hours. Even the surly Randy Savage starts to teeter on the edge of a babyface turn, expressing concern for his adversary once they finally pry it open and revive him. The image of a prone Ultimate Warrior, gasping for air after shredding the casket's interior to ribbons has unbelievable staying power.

The Undertaker was here... and he was EVERYBODY's problem now.
