10 Most Memorable WWE Funeral Parlor Segments

5. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (28 December 1991)

With Royal Rumble 1992 on the horizon and the WWF Championship up for grabs, The Hot Rod arrived on the doorstep of the Funeral Parlor to address the biggest opportunity of his eight years with the WWF and by then decades-long career. Unlike his lengthy feud with Hogan in the mid-'80s, he had a real shot at it too.

Previous Rumble matches were merely exhibition matches won either by superstars nowhere near the main event or by WWF Champion Hulk Hogan himself. The years that followed instituted the 'Winner Main Events WrestleMania' stipulation, but 1992 was unique (until 2016, that is) in that the winner would emerge with the WWF Title itself. On this edition of the Parlor, Piper brought his signature manic delivery to a promo worthy of an inspirational poster.

Announcing his intent to compete in the upcoming Rumble for the WWF Championship, Piper dared everyone to chase their dreams regardless of how unfavorable a hand they'd been dealt. Piper made anyone who could hear believe, promising to fulfill his own dream at the expense of all other participants, including The Undertaker. Stuffing Paul Bearer into a waiting casket for good measure was the icing on the cake.
