10 Most Memorable WWE Funeral Parlor Segments

6. Ric Flair And Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (21 September 1991)

This should have been easy.

For the few still unfamiliar with his superb mic work, 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair marched onto the Funeral Parlor shortly after his WWF TV debut on Primetime Wrestling and spun some more gold. The self-proclaimed 'Real World's Champion' made clear he wasn't hear to waste his time with the preliminaries, he was here to put The Hulkster in his crosshairs.

After briefly brushing aside the barbs that Roddy Piper had been hurling for weeks from the broadcast booth, Slick Ric turned his attention to his counterpart in the Northern territory. He accused Hogan of living in a protective bubble, blissfully unaware of the competition in the outside world and under the false impression that he was the genuine best in the world.

Flair brilliantly wove in the observation that Hogan was too busy filming Rocky sequels and pandering to the children while he broke his body winning and defending championships. The foundation had been laid for a first-time-ever clash of the two biggest names in wrestling at wrestling's biggest show and it didn't happen. Whether that's chalked up to politicking, poor house show returns or Vince McMahon just plain getting cold feet, the lack of resolution is inexcusable.
