10 Most Memorable WWE Hell In A Cell Moments

3. Triple H Defeats Cactus Jack And Mick Foley Retires

If there was ever an example of a performer losing to get another wrestler over, then one of the best examples is what Mick Foley did for the career of Triple H. After a vicious and violent street fight in Madison Square Garden at the 2000 Royal Rumble, Foley put his career on the line in the cell to try and win the WWE title one more time. Foley took a bump through the top of the cell down into the ring in a feat that most of us couldn€™t comprehend doing, never mind getting up from. There was barbed wire bats, blood and two guys giving it their all. When Triple H hit the pedigree, Mick Foley€™s full time wrestling career was over. He€™d be lured back here and there, and even do a run with TNA, but this was the end of him as a full time performer. The Hardcore Legend did the honours on the way out and made Triple H a legit headliner. The vision of Foley covered in sweat and blood walking up the aisle soaking in the adulation of his fans one more time was like a scene from a movie. A heartbreaking end, but the ending it should have been.
