9. 10 Bell Salute For Andre The Giant
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVGbkOOXNGU Date: February 1st While Andre's death wasn't publicized on television like, say, the passing of Owen Hart or Eddie Guerrero was, he still received a nice mention on Raw, and then a ten-bell salute tribute in front of an appreciative crowd. It stood out because it was something that wrestling fans weren't used to seeing on television. It was stunning to see a wrestling company mention that a wrestler had died, even if he wasn't someone who was young and in the greatest health. One of the sport's all-time greats was no longer with us, and it's almost a shame that his very last televised appearance in the United States was for WCW, in an interview at Clash Of The Champions 20, instead of for the WWF, the company he had helped to make a global phenomenon during the 1980's. It was a respectful "goodbye" to Andre, and it deserves a spot on a list like this, standing out in a time where you simply didn't get the mentions of deceased wrestlers like you do these days.
