10 Most Memorable WWE Raw Moments From 1999

10. The Rock Throws Steve Austin From A Bridge

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sF6QbK1viQ Date: April 12th It's easy to go back to the well when something in wrestling works. At the end of 1997, the WWF delivered on a very memorable segment with Steve Austin throwing The Rock's Intercontinental Title off a bridge. Fast forward 16 months and it was time for Rock to return the favor. It was a mere two weeks after WrestleMania 15. The main event of that night saw Austin win the WWF Title by defeating Rock. Austin would debut his customized "Smoking Skull" version of the WWF Title belt only to have Rock steal it from him. Rock lured Austin to a bridge in Detroit, Michigan to get his belt back and the two began to brawl. After gaining control of the fight, Rock would send Stone Cold over the side into the water and followed by throwing the title over, too. At least we thought he threw the Smoking Skull belt into the water (more on that later). The moment made for a great callback to over a year earlier. It isn't often that wrestling stories see that type of consistency. That's what helped to make this one so great.
