4. The CM Punk & Jack Perry Fight

At All In London, Jack Perry wrestled Hook in the main event of the pre-show ahead of CM Punk opening the pay-per-view proper with an instant classic against Samoa Joe.

The things that occurred between the closing bell of one match and the opening of the other, resulted in one of the biggest and most contentious chapters of AEW's relatively short history coming to an abrupt and controversial ending.

All of this might well have started as a secret, but it didn't stay that way very long. In this case, it couldn't.

Punk and Perry had clashed over the latter's mocking of the former on camera when he used real glass in a spot despite The Punker's reservations weeks earlier that he specifically not do that. One thing very speedily led to another and a scuffle was serious enough that Tony Khan later revealed he personally felt under threat and that the former Champion had been fired "with cause".

Punk's AEW run was easily - easily - one of the best in the organisation so far, but the untenable reality that had become his status there had reached breaking point arguably the very worst moment.
