As multiple changes were reportedly being made during the show itself, Brock Lesnar was prominently featured beating the tar out of WrestleMaia's fallen hero Cody Rhodes, and several planned matches and promos were blown through in illogically quick time, the general vibe around Monday Night Raw just 24 hours removed from a phenomenally successful 'Show Of Shows' was grim.

As the show was on the air WWE continued to be the talk of the town, and not just because they were still stationed in the showbiz capital of the world - the company had been sold in something of a sequel to 2022's biggest story that Vince McMahon was to resign in disgrace.
