Emanating from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, SummerSlam 2004 is most remembered either for the 14-minute long Triple H vs Eugene match or the fact that the crowd turned on almost everything. Are these two things linked? You can decide for yourselves...

One match from this show that is less remembered than it should is its main event, which saw World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Benoit, defend against Randy Orton. After twenty minutes of back and forth, Orton countered the Crippler Crossface into an RKO to win the match and the gold.

This was Orton's first of fourteen world title wins at time of writing, but what's more important is how old Randy was when he won the belt. At 24-years-old, Orton broke the record for the youngest person to win a world championship in WWE; a record he still holds to this day.

It was a remarkable achievement and a sign of the faith that WWE had in Orton at such a young age. That faith has been repaid many times over, as proven by Randy's continued successes. However, for obvious reasons, this match is never talked about in an official WWE capacity, which considerably harms its position on this list.
