10 Most Needlessly Elaborate WWE Finishing Moves Ever

1. The Worm (Scotty 2 Hotty)

By far the silliest finishing move in WWE history, Scotty 2 Hotty's Worm was more dance move than wrestling hold.

That was part of the charm, admittedly, but there's no way this basic thrust to the throat should have won matches.

Looking like a kid might at Christmas upon receiving the toy he always wanted, Scotty was in ecstasy after hitting a Bulldog on rivals and sending them to the mat. Hopping on one foot to the tune of thousands chanting 'W.O.R.M', the Too Cool member then performed a quick 'Ooh, ooh, ooh' motion before eventually delivering some physical harm.

Again, those on the receiving end of the move were expected to lay prone for up to 30 seconds. This was excessive at best, and utterly absurd at worst. What do we know though, is that fans went daft for Scotty's Worm. Take that as you wish.
