It's a Youtube clip that has gone down in wrestling folklore. You initially think it's someone poking fun at the business but it becomes apparent very quickly he is as serious as can be. The fan in question is Dave Wills from Atlanta. Dave got the chance directly interact with some of his heroes including Bobby Eaton and Jim Cornette at a wrestling convention. It's fair to say his emotions came over him. The panel were taking questions from the audience when the mic was passed to Dave who took the opportunity to express his gratitude to them. Straight away his voice starts to wobble and the whole thing takes a down turn from there. Although, the lady in the bottom left of the clip will disagree as she laughed her way through it all. The only real positive for Dave was the fact he gained some sort of fame from his speech. 'It's still real to me, dammit' is one of the most famous quotes in wrestling. His tearful monologue became a running joke and made appearances on both Jimmy Kimmel Live and Tosh.0. Willis also went on The Opie & Anthony Show where he came across as more of a fan of NWA then WWE. However, we can't leave such wrestling fan royalty off this list.
