The Legend: That Shawn Michaels and Sunny had a not-too-secret affair while both were working for the WWF in the mid-90s. There is also a rumour that Sunny had an affair with a married Bret 'The Hitman' Hart around the same time. The Evidence: Well, pretty much everyone involved, from Sunny to Shawn Michaels to Sunny's long-term boyfriend Chris Candido has admitted to the Shawn affair in the past. According to Sunny herself, the two had a nine month relationship while she was involved with Candido (who must have known about the whole thing). Michaels decided to stir up trouble with his on and off-screen rival Bret Hart in 1997 by claiming that Bret was having some 'Sunny days' during a Raw promo, which led to a backstage fight between the two. Bret and Sunny have both denied the rumour, claiming that they were just good friends and Michaels claim was the result of his paranoia at the time. As a side note, Sunny revealed in a 2012 shoot interview that she did have an on again/off again affair with Bret's brother-in-law The British Bulldog, who was married to Diana Hart at the time. Is It True: The Shawn affair, yes. The Bret one, no. Bret was very open about his past infidelities in his autobiography but maintains that Sunny was not one of his lovers. We should believe him.
