In the mid-1990's, Vince McMahon and his crack team of creative writers were extremely fond of giving wrestlers 'real life' gimmicks. This is why fans were introduced to the likes of a garbage man (Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese'), a race car driver, ('Bob 'Spark Plugg' Holly) and even a plumber (TL Hopper). The latter is the focus of this entry, because his music was - without question - the worst. Hopper was no ordinary plumber, he was the worst kind of lazy, work shy, dirty workman fans were ever likely to see. To reflect his character, the company played an ominous low hum over the sound system. Over the top of that, the sound of flushing toilets and running water could be heard being repeated over and over again. It was as literal as an entrance song is going to get. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXw-N3tuni0 For almost 3 full minutes, the same garbles and flushes could be heard. Meanwhile, TL Hopper himself trotted down to ringside holding a plunger. Exactly who this was supposed to appeal to was never revealed, but it certainly didn't excite the fans. It's entirely plausible that fans switched channels as soon as they heard Hopper's entrance theme hit, because it was scraping the bottom of the barrel, or - more fittingly - the toilet.
