5. Shawn Michaels Sticks The Canadian Flags Up His Nose
Even when the members of DX were wearing clothes, they were still causing mischief and surprising fans the world over. Both Triple H and Shawn Michaels feuded with The Harts; the hatred that The Heartbreak Kid and Bret "The Hitman" Hart had for one another was real and unscripted. The two had had epic battles since the early 1990s, and the Montreal Screwjob doesn't even need elaborating. However, leading up to that that fateful evening in November 1997 for Survivor Series (in Montreal no less), Michaels probably permanently landed himself in Canada's doghouse. Before the infamous battle between him and Hart, Michaels insulted the Canadian flag in every physical way humanly possible, such as dry humping it and sticking it up his nose. Reports insist that Hart had suggested that The Showstopper get intimate with the flag to upset the crowd as a heel. Back then, although dirt sheets existed, they weren't as prevalent in the early ages of the Internet. Therefore, most fans had no way of knowing whether Michaels had the bright idea of wiping his crotch with the Canadian flag. To this day, some Canadian fans still haven't forgiven him for what he did.
